Deep Layer BOND CARE is a professional treatment line from the system treatment and hair care brand Deep Layer, developed around two areas of care: strength and moisture. The Background to BOND CARE

As hair color and perm services have become more widespread, the load placed on hair continues to increase. What salons need is a way of building a healthy foundation for the hair that can respond to many different services.

Simply replenishing ingredients in hair that has already been damaged does not address the underlying issue. What matters is protecting the inside of the hair while guiding it toward a condition with body and resilience, and caring for the hair against the imbalance inside the hair caused by color and perm services, as well as external stresses such as metal ions.

The liquid type works into the hair easily and is used mainly at the styling station, where it can be applied evenly and efficiently. Used with a pump foamer, it dispenses as a foam, which makes it easier to target the dividing line during hair color services.

A pump foamer or applicator is recommended, as the product can clog easily if transferred to a sprayer. When using a pump foamer, it can be diluted with water up to 5 times (1 part product to 4 parts water), depending on the level of damage.

0-2 CMC Builder (Cream Type)

The cream type stays on the surface of the hair more readily and is used mainly at the shampoo station, where it is easy to handle and less likely to run. Its cream texture is suited to improving the feel of the finished hair.

It can also be diluted at a product-to-water ratio of 1:10 and used as a pre-treatment.

The Mechanism: Four Areas of Foundation Care

BOND CARE combines its care ingredients in a considered balance to help support smoother chemical services and to prepare the hair for the intended design. The line is built around four areas of care. Strength Care and Moisture Care are shared by both products, while Metal Ion Care is specific to 0-1 Kera Builder and Surface Care is specific to 0-2 CMC Builder.

1. Strength Care

A Quadruple Bonding formula cares for the bonds inside the hair, while Active Keratin (hydrolyzed keratin from wool) cares for damaged, porous areas. The formula brings together four bonding-component groups in balance: FiberHance®, an ELLAPLEX® blend comprising three ingredients, TOSTEA® and EverBond™.

Strength Care here refers to care that gives the hair body and resilience and helps reduce breakage and split ends.

2. Moisture Care

A Ceramide Urea Complex helps the hair retain moisture and leads to a smoother feel. It combines five ceramides (Ceramide NG, Ceramide AG, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP and Ceramide EOP) with hydroxyethyl urea.

3. Metal Ion Care (0-1 Kera Builder only)

A Chelate Mix of fulvic acid, phytic acid and disodium EDTA binds to metal ions, helping color and perm services proceed more smoothly.

4. Surface Care (0-2 CMC Builder only)

Surface Protect ingredients, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-18 and Meadowfoam Delta-Lactone, help condition damaged areas of the cuticle and coat the hair surface, reducing snagging and leaving a smoother feel.
